French Onion Burger

Ingredients
- 1 package Honeysuckle White Unseasoned Turkey Patties
- 1 tsp salt
- 1⁄2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 4-6 oz sliced gruyere cheese
- 4 onion buns
- 2 cups arugula

Step 1
First begin by seasoning the turkey patties on both sides with a mixture of the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside. -
Step 2
Begin caramelizing your onions by heating the olive oil over medium heat in a skillet. -
Step 3
Add the sliced onions and stir occasionally until they are golden brown, about 15 minutes. -
Step 4
While the onions are caramelizing, heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat and cook the burgers for 5 minutes on the first side and flip. Cook an additional 4-6 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. -
Step 5
To the onions, add the balsamic vinegar and stir well. -
Step 6
When the burgers are done, while still hot in the skillet, top with the gruyere cheese and a spoonful of the caramelized onions. -
Step 7
Build the burger by layering arugula and the french onion patty on an onion bun. Enjoy!
