Ingredients

  • 4 cups turkey broth
  • 1/4 cup apple cider or juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

    Combine broth and apple cider in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until reduced by about half.
  • Step 2

    Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and poultry seasoning to the mixture.
  • Step 3

    In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Step 4

    Add flour to the butter and whisk until pale golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  • Step 5

    Turn off the heat and let butter mixture cool for one minute. Add broth mixture, whisking vigorously until smooth.
  • Step 6

    Raise heat to medium and bring gravy to a boil, then season to taste with salt and pepper.
