Sliced Turkey Tenderloin & Gouda Melt
A simple to make, sliced turkey tenderloin sandwich with melted gouda cheese, stone ground mustard, peppery arugula and sweet apple slices. With the richness of the melted cheese and Original Turkey Tenderloin slices, this is a fresh and perfectly balanced sandwich!

- 1 package Original Turkey Breast Tenderloins (you’ll only need 1 of the 2 tenderloins in the package for this recipe)
- 8 slices of rye bread
- 8 oz. sliced gouda cheese
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 8 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy
- 4 tbsp. stone ground mustard
- 1 cup arugula
- Olive oil
Step 1Preheat the oven to 375°F and in a baking dish, bake the tenderloin for 30 minutes, or until it has reached an internal temperature of 165°F.
Step 2Once it’s done baking, slice into ¼ inch slices and set aside.
Step 3While that rests, in a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium high heat.
Step 4Spread 1 tablespoon of mustard on 4 slices of bread.
Step 5Layer gouda, apple, arugula, sliced turkey tenderloin, and one more slice of gouda.
Step 6Top with the other piece of bread and place 2 of the sandwiches in the skillet.
Step 7Cook 1-2 minutes on the first side, then flip and cover with a lid.
Step 8Cook an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Step 9Repeat with the final 2 sandwiches.
Step 10Slice the sandwiches in half and serve.
