Ingredients
- 1 package of Honeysuckle White® Ground Turkey
- 1 cup white onion, finely chopped
- 1-2 chipotle peppers, chopped plus 2 tablespoons adobo
- 1 teaspoon chipotle chili flakes
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons yellow mustard

-
Step 1
Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and ground turkey. Sauté for about 5 minutes until cooked through & no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature of 165° F. Use the spatula to break up the meat into crumbles. Add in onions. Cook for another 5 minutes. -
Step 2
Add in chipotle chilis, adobo sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, yellow mustard & 1/2 cup water. Stir. Bring to a low boil then reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 12-14 minutes or until thickened to your preference. If too thick, add additional water in 1/8 cup increments. -
