Cranberry Onion Relish

- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 medium red onion, ¼” julienne slice
- 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
Step 1Heat a sauté pan over medium high heat with vegetable oil. Add onions and cook until soft and begin to brown, approximately 5-7 minutes.
Step 2Add canned whole cranberry sauce to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 3Reduce to a simmer until the liquid thickens and covers the back of a spoon. Set aside.
Chef’s Note: for added smokey flavor, cut the red onion in half and smoke for approximately 30 minutes. Then slice according to the recipe and add.
